This is my favorite spot to eat at in SB, the food, service, ambience I have now been here a handful of times. And luckily enough I get JOE as my server and she is AMAZING. She has all of the best recommendations, and has the best energy. Joe gave my friends and I the best experience I will request for JOE every time. I ALWAYS get the burrata and heirloom it's made to perfection. Also the lemon spaghetti is so perfect and light. Today we tried the crème Brûlé and Affogato and I am absolutely shook how incredible their gelato is. I will order this every time no questions asked. I cannot wait to come back!

Was looking for vegan pizza places and came across this one on Yelp. Plenty of vegan and vegetarian options - pizzas, pastas and appetizers. Got their Veggie Pizza (vegan). It had no cheese on it, but I didn't really miss cheese. The pizza and toppings were delicious, albeit a little dry. Great service and ambience. Love that they have heaters above tables placed outside.

Visited here while passing through Santa Barba. Lovely outdoor atmosphere right in the heart of downtown. Very European style. Can't go wrong with the Margherita pizza. The Bruschetta was a great starter. Only downside was that it took quite a while to receive our food.

Stopped in at 4:00 on New Year's Eve for an early dinner at Mizza. It was 58 degrees outside and chilly. We also had our puppy in tow. I was cold, so I requested the low fire table. This was my second time requesting this table, and my request was denied both times. Even though the restaurant was almost empty, we were told only larger parties can sit there. So, we sat at the same two- top along the wall where we sat a few weeks ago and they lit up 2 space heaters which kept us warm, although without the room and the romantic atmosphere of the fire table. The hostess also offered a dog treat, which was helpful in getting my puppy to position her 60-pound body in the narrow space under my chair and out of the walkway. We ordered the butternut/gorgonzola and the shrimp pesto pizzas on cauliflower crusts. Will definitely order again and next time, request more fried sage leaves on the butternut pizza. Both were delish! We both preferred the butternut pizza. Our server, Xzavier, was fantastic. Friendly, attentive, cheerful, and knowledgeable. Excellent. I would have docked this review to 4 stars because of the ongoing BS about the fire table, but because of Xzavier, I'm still awarding 5 stars to Mizza. Side note: the low fire table I requested sat unoccupied the entire time we were at Mizza. It would have been nice to have been able to sit there, enjoy the warmth and romantic atmosphere, and for my 60-pound puppy to have had space to stretch out, rather than being crammed under my chair at the two-top again. I understand the strategy of saving tables for larger parties, but this was at 4 in the afternoon. Also, when I ate here this fall, there was a couple dining at that same low fire table, just the two of them, during prime dinner hour.

For years, we have passed by this restaurant on our way to the regular spots we have enjoyed while in Santa Barbara. This past December we decided to stop in given our original choice was closed. What an amazing choice we made. First off the food was outstanding. The staff were completely attentive and wonderful. Xaivier, Issac and T were our servers and never rushed through anything with us. They were as kind and professional as any waiters we have ever encountered. A number of wonderful employees were there to ensure our every whim was taken care of. I recall how patient Issac was with my wife as he made sure the outdoor heater was at the perfect temperature for her. A treat for me, I tried the Black Manhattan; a savory cocktail I've never had before. It was incredible. My wife had the salmon piccatta and she loved every bite. I tried the lasagna bolognese which was the best bolognese sauce I've ever had. My dessert was the tiramisu and it was the finest I've ever tasted. It was a happy circumstance that brought us to Mizza. We are now going to make this our number one restaurant when we are in Santa Barbara. We will be there before the new year again and look forward to our next meal there. Don't hesitate - this is the place to dine in Santa Barbara.

My friend and I were in downtown and looking for a dinner spot. We kept walking until we found Mizza. The menu looked decent so we decided to try it out. We sat outside and it was great because there were so many heating lamps everywhere. Grilled octopus (5/5): This was AMAZING. The octopus was on top of hummus accompanied with tomatoes and lettuce. The hummus was nice and creamy. It came with a slice of bread which was a nice addition. Wild mushroom truffle pizza (4/5): I love a mushroom pizza. This was good. I liked that the slices weren't too big. The mushrooms were great. The truffle flavor was very subtle. Almost nonexistent at times. The cheese was a little overpowering but nothing too crazy. Braised short ribs (4/5): The short ribs were so nice and tender. It was a bit too fatty though. The mashed potatoes were nice and creamy. The broccolini was nicely roasted. The sauce was a red wine reduction. This was a great try! I am glad we walked by. The staff was nice and attentive. The ambience was nice and they played Christmas music so it was fitting for the holiday season. There is a bar inside. It is definitely a great place for dinner.

Found this place through recommendations from people around the area and it was amazing! We would definitely comeback if we are ever doing another trip in Santa Barbara. My boyfriend and I were celebrating our anniversary and the servers were so kind. We were seated immediately and ordered some drinks. I'm not much of a strong alcohol person so I ordered the moscato white wine on the menu and it was phenomenal (if you like sweet white wines)! My boyfriend got an Italian Mule and it was strong but we liked the taste of the mint and ginger. For food, we shared a spicy sausage pizza and added caramelized onions (which was a must). The onions added such a nice flavor to the pizza. We then ordered the wild mushroom risotto and the butternut squash ravioli. Everything tasted divine and we were so happy to share a fantastic meal on our day. For dessert, they offered us a tiramisu to celebrate and it was really the icing on the cake. P.S If you plan to sit outside, they have heaters out there so you don't have to worry about being cold :)

A delicious meal that provides such a wonderful ambience on the infamous state street of Santa Barbara. Hubby and I were craving some good Italian food for dinner and stumbled upon this place on yelp, and boy did it not disappoint! Ordered the meatballs with marinara, pepperoni pizza and pesto pasta. Meatball was good, but did not blow me away. Loved the bread though that accompanied this appetizer. Best bread I've had in my life! My pesto was perfect. Definitely tasted the nuts and basil in the dish. Pasta was cooked to perfection al dente. The pizza was good as well. Thin layered and crispy with lots of cheese! Staff was attentive. Had such a great dinner and a nice touch to end the day!

Their lobster risotto is a Yelp 5-star and Michelin 1-star-worthy dish. Absolutely scrumptious with juicy lobster meat in every bite and al dente creamy risotto. It's spectacularly simple yet delicious. Also loved the fettucine with clams, even though it could do without the extra heat from crushed red pepper. Came here on a Friday night, not crowded in the restaurant or in downtown streets. Good for tourists, bad for the economy.
